PALLIATIVE CARE

Care provided in the terminal phase of cancer. It consists of a wide variety of procedures, such as: Treatment of the physical pain caused by the disease with medication; Therapy to alleviate the patient psychological pain and suffering; Attention to the patient’s spiritual, religious, and existential dimensions.
