SQUAMOUS CELL CARCINOMA

Squamous cell carcinomas are cancers that develop in places where there is a certain type of lining tissue in the body. Among the most common sites of presentation of this type of cancer are: skin, head and neck, lungs, esophagus, anal canal, and cervix. This type of cancer can also be called spino-cell carcinoma, or by the abbreviation for the latter term (SCC).
