The term “treatment cycle” is often used in reference to chemotherapy or molecularly targeted drugs. In general, the first day of a treatment cycle is designated as D1, the second day as D2, and so on. Medications have certain days to be administered, following standards established in the medical literature. For example, a certain drug can be administered on D1 and D8, while another can be administered from D1 to D5.
