Founded in 1999, Hospital Vila da Serra is a reference in highly complex general surgeries and high-risk pregnancy, having consolidated itself as a health hub that promotes the most complete experience to the patient. Its structure has 21 thousand square meters counts on several outstanding services and now in the oncologic field, having as differentials the humanized treatment and the excellence of the services.
The institution has state-of-the-art equipment that guarantees more precise procedures and diagnoses, among them, the Da Vinci robotic surgical system, which represents the most innovative in the field of minimally invasive surgery and technology applied to medicine. With high definition images and visualization magnified up to 10 times, the robotic system allows the surgeon to work through a console, guaranteeing control of movements and delicate tissue manipulation. Robotic surgery is a less invasive, highly safe alternative that requires less recovery time for the patient. We are the first hospital to perform robotic surgery in Minas Gerais.
The partnership with the Oncoclínicas Group was established in 2020 in the services of the Surgical Center, Inpatient Units, Adult ICU, Cardiovascular ICU, Neonatal and Pediatric ICU, Surgical Pediatric ICU, Emergency Room, Maternal and Child Care, and Hospital Care.
Its maternity ward is a reference in high-risk pregnancy, with a 24-hour nursing team, Prepartum, Partum and Postpartum (PPP) suites, and hospitality for the comfort of the family. The Neonatal ICU is also one of the largest and most complete in the state, being a reference in congenital cardiovascular diseases, with state-of-the-art equipment that obeys strict international standards. The surgical and obstetric block has an exclusive ultra clean sterilization system, with laminar flow and positive pressure, which reduces the risks of hospital infection.
With capacity for more than 14 thousand appointments and 1,100 surgeries a month, Hospital Vila da Serra has 13 operating rooms, 3 of which are exclusively for obstetrics, 20 consulting rooms, 130 beds for clinical, surgical, obstetric, pediatric and oncological admissions.
