Besides state-of-the-art equipment, each unit has a team of highly trained professionals, composed of radio-oncologists, nurses, medical physicists, and support technicians.
Opened in December 2013, the Oncoclínicas Radiotherapy unit in Botafogo, in Rio de Janeiro’s South Side, has a structure of more than 500 m², three medical offices, two rooms, and is fully equipped with a dedicated tomography scanner and positioning resources such as the prone breast board – which allows radiation reduction in the lung and heart in cases of breast cancer treatment. The unit was one of the first in the country to have a high-precision HALCYON-E accelerator.
