The Research Ethics Committee (CEP) is an interdisciplinary and independent collegiate, of public relevance and of a consultative, deliberative and educational nature to contribute to the development of research within ethical standards. Know more.

The Research Ethics Committees (CEP) are interdisciplinary and independent collegiate, of public relevance and of a consultative, deliberative and
educational institutions created to defend the interests of research participants in their integrity and dignity and to contribute to the development of research within ethical standards.

The institutions and/or organizations in which research involving human beings is carried out may constitute one or more than one Research Ethics Committee, according to their needs and meeting the normative criteria.

The institutional CEP is responsible for reviewing all research protocols involving human beings, in addition to making ethical decisions related to research carried out at the institution, with the purpose of guaranteeing and protecting the integrity and rights of research participants.
