BISPHOSPHONATE(S)

Medicines used to stimulate the deposition of calcium in bones. These drugs can be used in some patients with bone lesions caused by certain types of tumors, such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, and multiple myeloma. In addition, bisphosphonates decrease the amount of calcium in the blood, preventing or treating hypercalcemia.
