SARCOMA

Malignant tumor of soft tissues such as cartilage, fat, muscle and blood vessels. Bone tumors are also called sarcomas, although they are in another category due to their clinical and microscopic characteristics and because they have a different type of treatment.

Among the main types of sarcoma are:

  • Fibrosarcoma;
  • Malignant fibrous histiocytoma;
  • Dermatofibrosarcoma;
  • Liposarcoma;
  • Rhabdomyosarcoma;
  • Leiomyosarcoma;
  • Hemangiosarcoma;
  • Karposi’s sarcoma;
  • Lymphangiosarcoma;
  • Synovial sarcoma;
  • Neurofibrosarcoma;
  • extraskeletal chondrosarcoma;
  • Extraskeletal osteosarcoma;
  • Osteosarcoma;
  • Chondrosarcoma.
